Bihar Elections 2025: After seat sharing in NDA for Bihar Assembly elections 2025, BJP released the first list of candidates on Tuesday. In this list of 71 names for the 243-seat assembly, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has been given the ticket from Tarapur. The list includes names of stalwarts like Ramkripal Yadav, Sanjeev Chaurasia, Vijay Sinha, Shreyasi Singh and Mangal Pandey. The party has also given opportunities to nine female candidates. However, Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav did not get the ticket from Patna Sahib, on which he supported the party's decision.
Despite not getting the ticket, Nand Kishore Yadav said, "I am with the BJP's decision. The party has given me a lot. I have no complaints. The new generation is welcome." He further added, "The people of Patna Sahib made me victorious for 7 consecutive times. I will never forget the affection and love they gave me as a BJP candidate." This statement gives the message of strengthening the party's decision.
CM Nitish Kumar is said to be unhappy over giving a ticket to Samrat Chaudhary from Tarapur. According to sources, Nitish did not agree with this seat sharing and was against fielding Samrat from Tarapur. He had also expressed his objection, but BJP went along with the final decision of NDA.
